The Dallas Stars Travel Hockey Development Program (DSTHD) is thrilled to announce the return of Team Texas for its second season. This premier spring development program, in collaboration with all DSTHL Hockey Directors, aims to bring valuable opportunities for player development while leveraging expertise and resources to make a positive impact on the local hockey community. Building on last season’s success, Team Texas will continue to provide players with the chance to enhance their skills and compete at a high level with both local and out-of-town coaches.
Team Texas Spring Selects will consist of two tournament teams at each birth level from 2007-2016.

All Selected players will have the opportunity to participate in two development weekends and two tournaments throughout the spring season. Each development weekend will feature three ice sessions designed to help players improve their game and grow as athletes.
Player evaluations for Team Texas Selects will be conducted through various methods, including the players Hockey Director, DSTHL games and, potentially, a Coaches Skate. The age group General Managers, in collaboration with the Texas community of coaches, will carefully select the teams based on player performance.
How do I apply?
To be eligible for selection, players must complete an application form.

How are players selected?
Applications will be sent to the age group Coaches who will then evaluate players and communicate throughout the fall season to build their respective teams. Each coach will extend invitations to players selected for their team with rosters being finalized by December 15, 2024. All players will have the opportunity to participate in two development weekends and two tournaments throughout the spring season. Each development weekend will feature three ice sessions designed to help players improve their game and grow as athletes.
We anticipate rosters filling quickly and suggest players complete the application process right away if interested. Coaches and GMs will begin the evaluation process as early as September 28th. All players who submit an application will be contacted by a coach.
